Alagoas, Brazil, is expecting a number of luxury hotel launches following the opening of the international airport just outside the capital, Maceio.
Flights to Argentina launched recently and a Chile service is set to start in January.
Radisson Maceió is set to open in 2009 on Pajuçara beach, in Maceio. The £12.1m hotel will have 200 apartments.
Invest Tur and Six Senses are to launch the £15.45m Green Wave Resort on 15 August.
Aman Resorts is set to open a six-star hotel with a 6km stretch of beach.
Alagoas has an average temperature of 25 degrees all year round, with an average of 50mm of rainfall.
